The broad scope of this Regulation mandates EU-wide compliance of AI systems and could also influence international standards. The nature of the Regulation guarantees the AI Act’s applicability in all Member States without requiring additional legislative action, thereby facilitating EU-wide cross-border harmonisation. It is therefore evident that the AI Act applies to all employers and workers within the EU.
